About Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) closes the gap in access to the arts for all Philadelphians and is committed to equitable support of culture and creativity throughout the city’s neighborhoods.

The Challenge

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy (OACCE) needed a redesigned website to better represent the organization and align with its goals. Through multiple programming and connecting local artists with community,  OACCE provides vital services to the City of Philadelphia.

The Solution

YIKES began work on a new WordPress website with a custom theme designed to convey OACCE’s invaluable mission of promoting arts and culture. When the pandemic hit in 2020, OACCE was shut down. It looked as if the new website would never launch and the important services and programming would be lost. We were thrilled in 2021 when we had the opportunity to complete and launch the redesign and development of the new OACCE website. The OACCE website now allows for the staff to easily post upcoming arts events for the public, open calls for artists, and information about public art, helping to connect artists and arts organizations. Site visitors can search for arts activities and artists can continue to find ways to engage and create.
